Dining Reservation Requests
Below are the guidelines and answers to some of the common questions for pre-booking dining reservations.
Important Notes
All dining requests come to me first — not the resort. Don’t worry about getting everything perfect. I’ll review all requests before submitting them and follow up if I have questions. Just do your best.
I can only arrange dining reservations for trips I’ve booked.
These are requests, not confirmed reservations. Restaurants operate on rotating schedules, and availability depends on open days and capacity. Nothing is guaranteed until we receive confirmation numbers back from the resort.
Dining Reservation FAQs
Q: How many dining reservations can we request?
Standard bookings may request up to three dining reservations per vacation. Premium Level guests may request dining for each night of their stay.
Q: Can we request to dine with other families?
Yes. On the form you’ll indicate if you’d like to link your reservation with another family. You’ll have three options:
- Yes – link with a specific family or families.
- No – your family will have its own table
- Not explicitly – sit separately, but near others if dining at the same time and restaurant.
There is a maximum of six guests per reservation number. If your group exceeds six, the resort will create multiple linked reservations.
Q: We have multiple families that want to dine at the same time; how do we manage seating arrangements?
Submit one request per family and note which other families should be linked. Seating details can be sorted out later.
Q: Do all families need to fill out a form?
Not always. If one family includes another in their request, the second family does not need to submit a separate form.
Q: Can we eat alone instead of with the group?
Absolutely. Just select “No” when asked about linking reservations.
Q: Is our reservation request guaranteed when I complete this form?
No. These are requests only and are subject to availability and restaurant schedules. Confirmation numbers will come later.
Q: Can we get one large group reservation?
Possibly. Kyoto or Tokyo (hibachi) may be able to accommodate larger groups across multiple tables. No guarantees, but I’m happy to try.
