Dining Reservation Requests
Below are the guidelines and answers to some of the common questions for pre-booking dining reservations.
Important Notes
All requests come to me first, not the resort. Don’t stress about getting everything perfect—before I send requests to Barcelo, I'll do a final review and follow up with anyone I have questions for. Just do your best!
I can only arrange dining reservations for trips I’ve booked.
Most importantly, these are requests, not confirmed reservations. Restaurants operate on a rotating schedule, so availability depends on their open days, capacity, and the resort's scheduling. The resort will do its best to accommodate these requests, but nothing is guaranteed until we receive confirmation numbers back.
Dining Reservation FAQs
Q: How many dining reservations can we request?
Each family/booking number can request up to three dining reservations per vacation booking.
Q: Can we request to dine with other families?
Yes! On the form, you’ll be asked if any other guests or families should be linked with your request. You’ll have three options:
- Yes – Your reservation will be linked with another specific family (or additional families).
- No – Your family will have its own table.
- Not explicitly – You don’t need to sit together, but if others in the group are dining around the same time at the same restaurant, we’ll request tables close to each other.
Q: We have multiple families that want to dine at the same time; how do we manage seating arrangements? If you have multiple families dining together but want specific seating arrangements (e.g., seniors together, parents separate), just request one reservation for your family and note which other families should be linked. We’ll sort out the seating details later.
Q: Do all families need to fill out a form?
Not necessarily. If one family submits a request and includes another family in it, the second family doesn’t need to fill out a separate form.
Q: Can we eat alone instead of with the group?
Absolutely! Just select “No” on the form when asked about linking with other families.
Q: Is our reservation request guaranteed when I complete this form?
No, these are requests only. The resort will do its best to accommodate based on availability and restaurant schedules. Nothing is confirmed until we receive reservation numbers back from the resort.
Q: Can we get one large group reservation?
Possibly! If your group wants to dine together at Kyoto or Tokyo (the hibachi restaurants), it’s worth requesting. These restaurants may be able to accommodate larger groups at multiple hibachi tables.
Since hibachi is a special experience, this reservation would count as one of your three requests, but I can also submit a separate request to see if the resort can accommodate it without using one of your spots. No guarantees, but I’m happy to ask!
